To save people at risk of contracting chronic kidney disease of unknown etiology, Manusath Derana is conducting medical camps in high-risk areas.
The 59th of the Manusath Derana medical clinic series was recently held at the Sirimavo Bandaranaike Primary College in Midrigiriya, Polonnaruwa district, to identify kidney disease at its initial stage.
Tests to identify kidney disease, lipid profile tests, BMI measuring, testing eyes and providing spectacles, and raising awareness about healthy living were done during the camp.
The 59th medical camp was organized by the principal of Sirimavo Bandaranaike Primary School, the School Development Society, and the school’s media unit. The camp was sponsored by Ragama Leesons Hospital, where the Sri Lanka Eye Donation Society, the IIHS Institute of Higher Education, and Cipla Pharmalanka provided services. A water purifier was donated to the school with the support of Aqualife. Water and oil sprayers were donated to farmer societies with the support of Oktan Marketing.

හඳුනා නොගත් වකුගඩු රෝගයේ අවදානමට පත්ව ඇති ප්‍රදේශවල අපේම සහෝදර ජනතාවගේ ජිවිත සුරක්ෂිත කිරීම පිණිස වකුගඩු රෝගය මුලික අවස්ථාවේදීම හඳුනාගැනීම සඳහා මනුසත් දෙරණ ක්‍රියාත්මක කරන වෛද්‍ය සායන මාලාවේ 59වන සායනය පසුගියදා පොලොන්නරුව දිස්ත්‍රික්කයේ මැදිරිගිරිය සිරිමාවෝ බණ්ඩාරනායක ප්‍රථමික විද්‍යාල පරිශ්‍රයේදී සිදු කරන ලදී.
වකුගඩු රෝගය හඳුනා ගැනීමේ පරීක්ෂණය, අක්ෂි පරීක්ෂණය හා ඇස් කණ්නාඩි ලබාදීම, ලිපිඩ් ප්‍රොෆයිල් පරික්ෂනය, උසට සරිලන බර මැනීම හා ⁣සෞඛ්‍ය සම්පන්නව ජීවත්වීම පිළිබඳව දැනුවත් කිරීම ආදී ක්‍රියාකාරකම් රැසක් මෙහිදී සිදු කරන ලදී.
රෝගය බහුල ලෙස පැතිරෙන ප්‍රදේශවල වෙත ගොස් සිදු කරන මෙම වෛද්‍ය සායන මාලාවේ මෙවර වැඩසටහන සංවිධානය කරන ලද්දේ සිරිමාවෝ බණ්ඩාරනායක ප්‍රථමික විද්‍යාලයේ විදුහල්පති තුමා, පාසල් සංවර්ධන සමිතියය හා පාසලේ මාධ්‍ය ඒකකයයි. මුල්‍ය අනුග්‍රහය දක්වනු ලැබුවේ රාගම ලීසන්ස් රෝහලයි. සමගාමිව සිදුකල අක්ෂි සායනයට ශ්‍රී ලංකා අක්ෂිදාන සංගමයත්, සේවා සැපයීමෙන් IIHS උසස් අධ්‍යාපන ආයතනයත්, සිප්ලා ෆාමාලංකා ආයතනයත් එක්වූ අතර ඇක්වලයිෆ් වෝටර් ආයතනයේ අනුග්රයයෙන් පාසලට ජලපෙරන යන්ත්‍රයක් ලබාදෙන ලද අතර ඔක්ටාන් මාර්කටිං ආයතනයේ අනුග්‍රහයෙන් ප්‍රදේශයේ ගොවි සමිති වලට තෙල් ඉසින යන්ත්‍ර ලබා දෙන ලදී.
